The Owl-Monkey’s Foundation

Oseo John Omoruan

This is the third and last in a three series stories of kakistocracy in Habitat Naijiriana, where the more intelligent animals such as the Elephants and the Lions were relegated to the background. In “The Owl-Monkey’s Foundation” we see how the Owl-Monkey, the Old Dogs, the Snail, the Chimpanzee and the Old Hawks tried to build a lasting legacy with the foundation which the Owl-Monkey had just started. But this was made impossible because of the craftiness and unstable natures of the Old Dog.

Moral of the Story – Be careful who you choose as leaders and always remember “the trees always stay wherever they fall”.
