The story of Ogun and Arugba is that of good and bad coming together through divine intervention. Ogun is a divinity whilst Arugba was just the Almighty God’s Personal Assistant who was on loan to Orunmila for a crucial assignment to earth.
There was a heavy rainfall the day Ogun and his righthand man, Sango sabotage the water reservoir beneath the Third Heaven. This led to serious flooding in the heaven beneath the Third Heaven commonly known as the Upper Heaven.
Nobody suspected it was a sabotage and Olokun was given the task of the unusual flooding in the Upper Heaven. Meanwhile, the Almighty God had also called Ogun to check if it wasn’t a structural fault. Ogun had asked for the assistance of God’s Personal Assistant, which the Almighty God gladly gave to him, by recalling Orunmila and Arugba back to the Upper Heaven.
